Lukas Graham has just joined the already impressive list of performers for The Billboard Music Awards broadcast on Sunday night — the list includes: Justin Bieber, DNCE, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, Pink, Rihanna, Britney Spears, Meghan Trainor, and collaborations with Nick Jonas with Tove Lo, and Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani. Madonna will be performing a Prince tribute.
And now… maybe Kesha WILL perform…
Dr. Luke’s label previously rescinded its approval allowing Kesha to perform at Sunday’s 2016 Billboard Music Awards, but yesterday, the approval was restored (the rescindation was rescinded). Note: It’s only the second time a previously rescinded rescindation has been unrescinded in Billboards 2,000 year history..
The Billboard Music Awards air Sunday on ABC. Ludacris and Ciara will host.
Whitney Houston fans won’t be seeing that much-discussed hologram of her anytime soon. A scheduled duet with Christina Aguilera and Houston’s hologram on The Voice has been cancelled.
“Holograms are new technology that take time to perfect, and we believe with artists of this iconic caliber, it must be perfect,” – – “Whitney’s legacy and her devoted fans deserve perfection. After closely viewing the performance, we decided the hologram was not ready to air. We have much respect and appreciation for Christina, and she was absolutely flawless.”
They were scheduled to perform the duet on the season 10 finale of The Voice airing next week.
