For the longest time, I have refused to do resolutions for the New Year because a) If I get the urge to “better” myself I’m gonna do it asap before that fleeting feeling goes away. I will not make it to the New Year. Guaranteed. b) IT’S TOO MUCH PRESSURE.
I’ve realized it’s way more fun to join in with the crowd on this one and at least pretend to aspire to greater things (Run everyday? Sure! I’ll totally do that. Pass the chips?). It’s like making a wish on your birthday candle-wouldn’t it be neat if this happened? I mean, I really want it to, but blowing out this candle ain’t gonna make it so. I think that is the problem with resolutions too. We treat them like wishes (or I used to at least). So, this year, I am going to go with something simple: tidier house! Seriously…sometimes I feel like I’m on an episode of “Hoarders”. I’ve installed the app FlyHelper for guidance and inspiration. Fingers crossed I can see my floor by February!
