Since the Superbowl was yesterday and some of us may have indulged in a couple of cold ones, I thought, why not take the focus away from the calories we drank and focus on the GOOD in beer! Everyday this week, I will post a health benefit of beer.
It May Prevent Osteoporosis: Researchers have found that most beer contains enough silicon to benefit bone health. (Past studies have found that women who are light to moderate beer drinkers have better bone density than non-beer drinkers.) Now don't go thinking slamming a case is going to make you a healthier person!! You should only have about two a day and you want to opt for Ales and Pale Ales, which have higher levels of the bone-bolstering silicon than darker varieties.
