Here's an interesting way of looking at eating bad food. Instead of looking at the calories and what not... do the math and think ok- one bag of chips equals 30 minutes of jogging. So if you really don't feel like exercising... go for the apple.
A study at Johns Hopkins University in the states tested this theory and posted signs around corner stores with not only the caloric information on the sugary drinks that were being sold but also with the exercise information related to the calories and found it effective. Sales actually dropped on sugary drinks.
