| Chapped Lips, Cold Sores and Acne |

Hey!!! They're three things no one wants to deal with, but if you're plagued by them then you need to! Cold sores, chapped lips and acne are all very frustrating and embarassing but here are a few suggestions to help you out: Cold Sores: You should avoid foods like chocolate, peanuts, sunflower seeds and coffee as well as gelatin which can be found in marshmellows, sour cream and cream cheese. These contain chemicals that trigger cold sore flare ups. Instead aim for foods like chicken, fish, dairy products, peaches and apples. These foods contain an enzyme that prevents viruses from reproducing. Chapped Lips: Skip out on the coffee, tea and pop. These all pull moisture from our bodies and that's what is causing our skin and lips to become dry. Eat more fish and nuts. These contain fatty acids that add moisture to our bodies. Acne: Avoid dairy. The iodine used to keep dairy cows infection free can cause hormonal changes that make acne worse. Eat more chicken!
