Beyoncé made her CMA Awards debut Wednesday night with a performance of her song “Daddy Lessons” accompanied by the Dixie Chicks.
Then things got ugly on social media. Some people didn’t appreciate seeing Beyonce on the country music awards show. There were some back-handed “thank-yous” Tweeted to the Dixie Chicks for “bringing Beyonce to the awards show”.
To set the record straight, the Dixie Chicks Tweeted “She brought us!”.
Here’s Natalie Maines Tweet that revealed that the joint performance at the CMA’s was all Beyoncé’s idea. The Chicks didn’t “bring” Beyoncé to the award show. They were invited by her.
