If she earns enough votes, Katy Watson will be flown to Europe for an international dogsled race. In the Fjallraven Polar competition, teams of 2 will trek by dogsled from Norway, through the subarctic, to northern Sweden. It’s geared towards outdoors enthusiasts living in the Scandinavian countries; only 2 international participants will be included. The winners will set out in April 2016. Katy Watson says as a kid, her dad took their family on outdoor adventures. Watson works as a teacher in Prince George, as well as part-time as a fly fishing guide in Terrace.
